Sustainable Art

I found artforum.com/archive/id=21282 a very interesting document!

It certainly opened my eyes to new ways which people can help others around us with art

'Excess begins to equal profit, which, in this day and age, may be the only persuasive motivation to go green, or at least the only one that will remain sustainable.'

Those were the days.

Artists Union of Art Dissent

by goldenskeleton (10.29.09 08:34 pm)

I originally created a website to go against eccess using art and it turned into a web design service promoting advertising without the use of paper. So after being bored with the gogreen web design business, I went back to getting political with graphic design and art dissent. I was inspired by the book by Milton Glaser, "design of dissent' in which I asked the question, how does he use the Mcdonalds logo in a piece of art featured in the book and one example of many, without getting sued. I emailed his studio, and never got an answer. I have a website now, main focus product, ironically turning into tree killer print with the inspiration of production line from GPK cards. Looking for artists with passion of political dissent maybe valued in this democracy to assist with ideas in creating the subject matter in which the package image is on the front page, top, of www.goldenskeleton.com. Sustainable art, painting is dead, now ideas being art in itself, shown not in very effective ways in busy websites, the canvas is binary code. What ever happened to less is more with this generation of web developers. All nerd, no artist?
